On behalf of the board and members of Iowa Gun Owners I am writing to ask you to give your support to any strengthening amendments that are attatched to HF193 when it comes to the floor for a full House vote.

As the ranking member of the Public Safety Committee and the author of the bill, having your support on amendments that make the bill stronger would have an immense effect and would be seen as very selfless and pro-gun in the eyes of gun owners across Iowa.

Adding provisions that make the bill truly “shall issue” or that attatch the “castle doctrine” concept would greatly benefit the people of Iowa and make them more able to carry a gun for self-defense.

Iowa Gun Owners will report to our members how you vote on these important amendments.
