Democrats in Des Moines are grower bolder by the day. Their new bill, Senate File 2128 may be the most aggressive gun control bill that we have seen filed in Des Moines in twenty years. They are testing gun owners, and we need to get loud and shut this down hard!
If passed into law, SF-2128 would:
1. Make gun owners civilly liable if a criminal breaks into your home, steals one of your guns, and uses it in a crime years later.
2. Force gun owners to pay for physical injuries, emotional distress, and property damage committed by a criminal who happens to be using your stolen gun.
3. Encourage liberal judges to financially destroy gun owners by forcing you to cover all of the other parties’ legal fees if they sue you in civil court for what a criminal did.
This is insane. It would be like holding an Iowa financially accountable if someone steals your car and then runs into someone with it while fleeing from the police.
