Simply put, Stand-Your-Ground Law is THE law that protects you from being arrested and thrown in jail for defending yourself against a violent attacker with a firearm in Iowa because it removed Iowa’s “Duty to Retreat” law and codified protections for YOU.
This law was introduced and passed by Iowa Gun Owners in 2017 after nearly 10 years of fighting to get it done and we’re NOT going to sit back and watch it be overturned, putting Iowans at risk of jail time for a simple self-defense situation.
