‘Red Flag Gun Seizures’ are unconstitutional because they allow liberal judges to order the seizure of our firearms before we’ve even been charged with a crime. Often, these occur through ex parte hearings that gun owners are not even allowed to attend!
Other red states have banned ‘Red Flags.’ Now it’s Iowa turn.
That’s why IGO has filed HF-430 which would require the adjudication of a contested court case before the government can seize our firearms — ensuring our due process rights are protected.
The bill has been referred to the House Judiciary Committee, and the hearing could take place soon. Already, gun control groups are working to kill the bill or weaken it.
