‘Red Flag Gun Seizures’ are unconstitutional because they allow liberal judges to order the seizure of our firearms before we’ve even been charged with a crime. Often, these occur through ex parte hearings that gun owners are not even allowed to attend!
Other red states have banned ‘Red Flags.’ Now it’s Iowa’s turn.
The Iowa House has passed our bill to ban ‘Red Flags’ (HF-2718) by a vote of 67-29. Now the bill is in the Senate Judiciary Committee.
But the Senate has been killing or weakening gun bills for several years now, so we can’t take anything for granted.
Please send your prewritten email to the Senate Judiciary Committee so they know that gun owners want to see this bill signed into law before we get into the 2026 elections.
