Founded almost 20 years ago, Iowa Gun Owners has become a powerhouse for freedom. We’ve mobilized grassroots gun owners across Iowa leading to the passage of laws like Shall Issue, Stand-Your-Ground Law, Constitutional Carry and more. And our members flipped the legislature from blue to red, reshaping Iowa forever.

From the Director…
As an Iowa native, I learned how to shoot on my grandfather’s farm outside Sioux Center and at the old Thomas Pit range in rural Osceola County. That’s where I fell in love with the Second Amendment — and why I’m proud to lead Iowa Gun Owners in the fight to defend it.
Over the nearly 20 years of IGO’s history, we’ve passed Shall Issue, Stand-Your-Ground law, the Freedom Amendment, lowered the age on carrying handguns, and much more. But more importantly, we’ve decimated the ranks of the Democrats in Des Moines and helped make Iowa a deeply red state! But the enemies to our freedom will never rest, so neither can we. Join us!
