PASS SAPA LEGISLATION BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE!
Whereas: Joe Biden’s Executive Order banning pistol braces will take effect in just a few months, making criminals out of otherwise law-abiding gun owners in Iowa. Worse, Biden is trying to compel the State of Iowa to use our cops to enforce these tyrannical orders on her own people; and
Whereas: The Second Amendment Preservation Act (SAPA) would protect Iowans from this, by instructing Iowa cops to only enforce Iowa laws when it comes to firearms, ammunition, and accessories – requiring them to ignore federal gun control laws as is our right as a sovereign state; and
Whereas: SAPA legislation also protects Iowa cops who are currently forced to choose between enforcing unconstitutional Executive Orders, or disobeying an order and losing their jobs; and
Whereas: Besides protecting gun owners, SAPA reminds ‘red states’ that they have the Constitutional right to peacefully refuse to cooperate with a federal government that has turned tyrannical.
Therefore: As the House Majority Leader and Senate Majority Leader, I strongly urge you both to make passage of H.F. 147 (whether as stand alone bill, an amendment, or a leadership bill, one of your top priorities!
