This bill lowers the age on when an Iowan can obtain a concealed carry permit from 21 to 18, in keeping with the Second Amendment, the Bruen Decision, and common sense.
HF-945 strengthens our Stand-Your-Ground law by adding a pre-trial immunity hearing process to our existing Stand-Your-Ground law.
Iowans voted for big changes last November; tell your State Representative that HF-945 and HF-924 are part of those big changes!
An 18-year-old can join the military and risk their life for our country. They can get married, pay taxes, hold down a job, and build a life. But they can’t carry a handgun to protect themselves?
