Over the weekend, the world watched violent Islamic terrorists launch a brutal mass shooting — this time in Australia.

Predictably, politicians in Australia and here at home are doing what they always do after a shooting: using it in an attempt to justify even more gun control.

But here’s the part they won’t admit: Australia already has some of the most extreme gun control laws on Earth.

And the violence happened anyway.

Let’s be crystal clear about what Australia already has on the books:

— A near-total ban on semi-automatic rifles and shotguns
— Mandatory gun registration
— Mandatory licensing just to touch a firearm
— Background checks and waiting periods
— Forced buybacks and confiscations
— A need to show a “genuine reason” to own a gun
— Government-approved storage inspections
— Zero right to armed self-defense recognized in law

These contemptible bastards have ground their heels into the backs of their citizens for decades.

Then when Islamic gunmen murder 15 helpless citizens (and wound 40 more) they have the gall to demand more gun control!

Never forget how much statist politicians hate us. Today’s Democrats (and more than a few RINO Republicans) want us to be disarmed exactly like the Australians are.

They want us vulnerable.

Helpless.

Completely unable to stop criminals or our own government if it goes fully tyrannical and turns on ‘We the People.’

We can never let that happen to our country. If we lose these rights we will never get them back.

Fighting for the Second Amendment these days is NOT an academic pursuit. Our fight is to ensure that America does not join the long list of nations where the people are disarmed serfs.

Watching the government of Australia prepare to ram more gun control down the throats of their already disarmed people makes my blood boil.
