Just a few days ago, I told you that Brad Sherman was the first gubernatorial candidate to complete Iowa Gun Owners’ Candidate Survey.
That got attention.
Since then, both Adam Steen and Eddie Andrews have stepped up and completed their IGO candidate survey with 100% pro-gun responses!
(You can see the survey and their answers here.)

(Brad Sherman, Adam Steen, and Eddie Andrews have surveyed 100% pro-gun. Randy Feenstra continues to refuse to complete his.)
For almost twenty years, Iowa Gun Owners has forced candidates to go on record before they ever get into office. When candidates complete the survey, we know where they stand.
If they betray us later, we can hold them accountable.
But that’s why some candidates refuse to survey. They intend to betray gun owners and they don’t want their lies in writing.
Which brings us to Randy Feenstra.
We mailed it to him, and I’ve texted it to his phone multiple times. But instead of stepping forward and putting his positions in writing, Randy Feenstra has refused.
At this point, that silence speaks volumes.
If Feenstra is unwilling to go on record before the election, gun owners have every reason to question what he will do for gun rights should he become Governor?
We’re going to keep pushing until every candidate answers because talk is cheap, especially at election time.
Iowa is at a crossroads. We can continue moving to the right, defending the Second Amendment, and making Iowa a bastion of freedom — or swing back hard and undo all that we’ve accomplished.
The stakes are too high to simply take candidates at their word when it comes to our gun rights.
If you want to help Iowa Gun Owners keep this pressure on candidates like Randy Feenstra until they answer gun owners directly, I hope you’ll consider becoming a member today.
Your support is what makes this program possible and ensures that no one gets a free pass.
We’ll have more updates very soon.
For Iowa,

Aaron Dorr
