Constitutional Carry Passes Sub Committee!

The House Public Safety Sub-Committee just wrapped up their first hearing on Constitutional Carry legislation (HSB 254) and advanced the bill onto the full committee by a vote of 2-1!

The House Public Safety Committee is expected to vote on this bill this week, meaning that you and I need to start flooding the full committee with emails in support of this legislation right away.

But before I go any further, I want to personally thank every single one of you who submitted a statement of support for HSB 254 on the public comment section of the legislature’s website.

Almost 1,500 comments were lodged in support of this legislation by the incredible members of Iowa Gun Owners in just three days! In fact, the legislature’s website began melting down  last night, leaving the ‘download comments’ button broken!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for always answering the call to expand our gun rights here in Iowa!

Smack dab in the middle of a thousand fellow IGO members is my statement of support for Constitutional Carry, and for those who can’t find it or can’t download it, I have included it here for you to review.

(See my statement of support for Constitutional Carry law here.)

But while we passed the first hurdle, IGO members know that we have been here before, clearing the sub-committee process only to see this legislation pulled in the full committee.

And with Michael Bloomberg just beginning to blitz Iowa politicians with calls and emails against your right to keep and bear arms, we can’t take anything for granted now!

So please send a fresh PRE-WRITTEN EMAIL to the member of the full House Public Safety Committee — urging passage of this bill with no amendments — right away.

SUPPORT CONSTITUTIONAL CARRY FOR IOWA!

Please send this email even if you’ve sent in a public statement of support for Constitutional Carry over the last few days — as this email will be sent to the full committee.

As a reminder, Constitutional Carry law doesn’t change the rules on who can own or carry a firearm, it simply states that if you’re already legally allowed to own a firearm, you can carry it without having to obtain government permission.

In other words, it allows you to carry a firearm without being added to a government database where you can be tracked, traced, and registered like a sex offender!

These are the same freedoms that gun owners in eighteen other states ALREADY enjoy — over one third of America — and I’m sure you’ll agree it’s way overdue here in Iowa.

SEND YOUR EMAIL TO THE FULL COMMITTEE HERE!

We can’t assume anything here.

We have overwhelming majorities in the legislature, but that doesn’t mean anything when Michael Bloomberg is spending his millions trying to stop us.

So please don’t let up. Send your email right away and make sure that every gun owner you know does the same thing.

The wonderful members of Iowa Gun Owners have been working toward this day for well over a decade; let’s push hard right up to the very end!

Send your email here!

For Iowa,

Aaron Dorr

Chairman
Iowa Gun Owners

P.S. Thanks to thousands of members of Iowa Gun Owners who left comments in support of Constitutional Carry legislation over the last two days, a House sub-committee just advanced the bill to the full committee by a vote of 2-1!

You can see my statement in support of Constitutional Carry here.

Thank you for leaving a comment and showing the legislature how much support Constitutional Carry legislation has!

The full Public Safety Committee is expected to vote on this legislation yet this week, so please send the committee this new PRE-WRITTEN EMAIL supporting HSB 254, right away!

SUPPORT CONSTITUTIONAL CARRY FOR IOWA!

But Michael Bloomberg and the fake news media are doing everything they can to stop this legislation, so we can’t take anything for granted!

Take action now, then send this email to every gun owner you know!
