Act Now to Stop the UN Small Arms Treaty!!

The number-one item on President Obama’s anti-gun agenda is anything but dead.

And after the Boston bombing, gun-grabbers think they have the perfect excuse right now to RAM the so-called “United Nations’ Small Arms Treaty” down Americans’ throats.

With Treaty language finalized by the UN on April 2, 2013, you and I could be headed straight for a showdown in the U.S. Senate in just a matter of weeks.

And I’m afraid this fight could come down to just one or two votes.

That’s why it’s vital you complete your petition to U.S. Senators Tom Harkin and Chuck Grassley IMMEDIATELY – I’ll link you to that in a moment.

As you’ll see, your petitions urge Senators Harkin and Grassley to vote against ratification of the United Nations’ “Small Arms Treaty.”

Please note this fight will be different than ANY of the other battles you and I have faced at the federal level — or even here in Iowa — in recent weeks and months.

In fact, if this was as simple as defeating a bold-faced, head-on attempt to pass gun control in Congress, I might not be so worried. But it’s not.

As I write, the United Nations’ “Small Arms Treaty” is being sold to the Senate as a “security measure” designed to combat terrorism and rogue militants.

Even the United Nations’ own website listed “insurgents, armed gang members, pirates and terrorists” as the reasons this new treaty is so desperately needed, stating:

“The illicit trade in small arms, light weapons and      ammunition wreaks havoc everywhere. Mobs terrorizing a      neighborhood. Rebels attacking civilians or      peacekeepers. Drug lords randomly killing law enforcers      or anyone else interfering with their illegal      businesses . . . In all continents, uncontrolled small      arms form a persisting problem.”

The George Soros front group, Media Matters, is pushing the lie that the United Nations’ “Small Arms Treaty” wouldn’t touch the Second Amendment!

But if you and I look a little further into the details, it’s easy to see the United Nations’ “Small Arms Treaty” is really an international gun registration scheme.

And reading through the treaty, it’s easy to see why this INTERNATIONAL gun control scheme is the gun-grabbers’ crown jewel.

Article V of the newly-drafted Treaty mandates an INTERNATIONAL gun registry imposing new regulations on everything from rifles to handguns and even ammunition!

Article XII states that the registry must include “the quantity, value, model/type, authorized international transfers of conventional arms” and the identity of the “end user.”

And it’s not just our federal government that would get a copy. International bureaucrats at the United Nations and foreign governments would have access to the registry, as well!

You and I both know registration is the first step toward outright CONFISCATION.

Of course, Iowa Gun Owners doesn’t typically get involved in national politics.

But you and I both know this fight is simply too important to ignore — even considering the fact that the Treaty would need 67 votes for Senate ratification.

With such a high-standard, this will be an easy win, right?

Believe me, I wish that were the case!

But already I’m seeing news reports about how the Boston bombing culprits weren’t “licensed” to own firearms — yet obtained them anyway.

This should prove gun control doesn’t work. But to the gun-grabbers in the national media, up is down and down is up.

And they’ll do everything they can to combine this tragedy with last December’s Newtown murders to drum up anti-gun hysteria.

Putting party labels aside and just looking at the past voting records of every Member of the Senate on gun issues, it’s not hard to see how the gun-grabbers could reach 58-60 votes.

At that point, all bets are off.

President Obama will throw the full weight of the presidency behind this fight. Billionaires like George Soros and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg will dump tens of millions of dollars into this lobbying effort.

And all this will be occurring while United Nations’ security “experts” work the cable TV news circuit with horror story after horror story designed to turn American public opinion in their favor.

So please sign your petition to Senators Tom Harkin and Chuck Grassley TODAY urging them to vote against ratification of the United Nations’ “Small Arms Treaty.”

I have to ask for your generous contribution, as well.

Your generous support will allow me to reach out to even more pro-gun Iowans in opposition to the United Nations’ “Small Arms Treaty.”

The truth is, if the United Nations’ “Small Arms Treaty” is going to pass, the gun-grabbers are going to need BOTH Senator Grassley’s and Tom Harkin’s support.

In fact, in the last fight over President Obama’s gun control agenda, Senator Grassley was one of the Senators most lobbied by the gun-grabbers.

That’s why it’s critical you and I urge him to stand strong during this fight.

The gun-grabbers are going to spend whatever it takes and do whatever it takes to make it happen.

That’s why I’m prepared to immediately launch a full-scale grassroots effort — including mail, email, newspaper ads, radio and even TV ads if necessary.

This program could be the difference between winning and losing. But of course, I can’t do any of this without your support.

So won’t you please fill out your petition to Senators Tom Harkin and Chuck Grassley IMMEDIATELY?

And if you can, please consider making a generous contribution of $250, $100, $50 or $35 TODAY.

This fight cannot be ignored. You and I simply must spring into action IMMEDIATELY.

So please sign your petition and consider making your most generous contribution of $250, $100, $50 or $35 TODAY.

Please don’t waste a second. Please sign your petitions and send in your most generous contribution right now.
