Iowa Gun Owners Membership Ballot

The General Assembly recently went back into session.

I’ve been up virtually all night putting the finishing touches on Iowa Gun Owners’ program strategy for 2014. But there’s something I have to tell you.

In the face of all the fights on our plate, I’m facing an incredibly tough decision. In fact, it’s perhaps the toughest I’ve ever had to make since the creation of Iowa Gun Owners.

So I need your advice.

As you’ll see below, I’ve need your vote on your 2014 Iowa Gun Owners Membership Ballot. I’m counting on you to fill it out and submit it to me IMMEDIATELY.

The truth is, last year’s battles following the gun-grabbers’ all-out assaults after the Newtown tragedy (which no one could have planned for) — have left Iowa Gun Owners in a difficult financial position.

In fact, without an IMMEDIATE influx of funds, I’m afraid I’m going to have to make major cuts in our 2014 programs
.

That’s why I’m counting on you to tell me where to focus.

After all, good folks like you are the backbone of IGO. Without your support, nothing Iowa Gun Owners does would be possible.

As I told you in my last letter, BILLIONAIRE former New York City Mayor and anti-gun activist Michael Bloomberg has set his sights on state legislatures all over the country.

And Iowa is a TOP target.

You see, he’s tired of waiting on Washington, D.C. to pass President Obama’s gun control agenda — and he knows his deep pockets can go a LONG way in scaring state legislators into voting his way.

So he’s preparing to spend $25 million in up to a dozen states — over two million dollars per state — to get his way!

Those huge dollar figures are enough to scare even the most self-described “pro-gun Republican” into voting with the gun-grabbers — especially if their scheme is cleverly disguised.

And that’s exactly what I’m afraid we’ll be facing.

Gun-grabbers NEVER come out and say they want statewide gun registration. Instead, they call for expanded or universal “background checks.”

But as a former cop, I can tell you the ONLY way they can enforce such a scheme is to keep track of every gun and gun owner in the state.

And, as you and I both know, registration is just the first step toward outright CONFISCATION.

So if you think defeating statewide gun registration in Iowa should be my number-one priority, please mark “FIGHT BLOOMBERG!” on your Member Ballot.

But before you do, please also consider the critical opportunity you and I could be missing.

Many people right now are talking about the possibility of a national tidal wave election like we saw in 2010. With all the madness going on at the federal level, they just may be right.

That’s why right now could be the perfect time to FORCE both houses of the Iowa General Assembly on record on Constitutional Carry.

If passed, Constitutional Carry would simply restore the right of law-abiding Iowa citizens to carry a concealed weapon without paying expensive fees or going through a bunch of bureaucratic rigmarole.

If you and I can force a vote, and EXPOSE the politicians who campaign as pro-gun but work behind the scenes to defeat you and me once elected, it could set the stage for passage of Constitutional Carry next year!

Not only that, but sometimes the best defense is a good offense.

Putting Bloomberg’s pals in Des Moines on the defensive over Constitutional Carry could catch the gun-grabbers off guard and pay major dividends in our fight to stop their gun control schemes.

So if you think going on the offense with Constitutional Carry should be our number-one priority, please mark “EXPOSE THE GUN-GRABBERS” on your Member Ballot.

But please realize that deciding whether to focus on offensive or defensive fights isn’t our only concern. 2014 is also a critical election year.

I’ve told you the rosy predictions I’ve heard some are making. But I remember hearing many of the same ones in 2012, as well.

All I can tell you is that a big chunk of Bloomberg’s dollars here in Iowa will most likely be spent trying to seize control of BOTH the Iowa House and our Governor’s Mansion.

I know you understand it would be a disaster should he succeed. But the truth is, that scenario could end up being even worse than you think!

The ONLY thing stopping gun control from passing in Washington, D.C. and Des Moines these past couple of years has been one thing . . .

Politicians’ fear. Their fear about what could happen to them at the ballot box if they go after our gun rights.

If gun-grabbers AREN’T defeated in droves in 2012, it will send the message to politicians that there’s nothing to fear.

The moment politicians believe they can vote against our gun rights without any blowback is the moment you and I lose our gun rights. PERIOD.

So if you think November 2014 is most important, please mark “STOP THE GUN-GRABBERS ELECTION SCHEME” on your Member Ballot.

Of course, there’s a fourth option. That’s the option I’m hoping you’ll choose. That’s “FIGHT THE GUN-GRABBERS EVERYWHERE!”

But if that’s the option you choose, I must be able to count on your most generous support today
.

I don’t have the money in the bank to do everything that needs to be done. I just don’t.

So if this is the option you choose, please agree to a generous contribution of $100 right away.

I know that’s a lot. But Iowa Gun Owners can’t afford to start out 2014 behind the eight ball. Without your generosity, I’m afraid we will.

Of course, if $100 or more is too much, won’t you please agree to $50 or at least $35?

Iowa Gun Owners’ members and supporters have always come through in the past, and I’m truly thankful for all you do.

But today, I need to hear from you right away. Please give your advice and, if at all possible, your most generous contribution of $100, $50 or at least $35 TODAY!

For Freedom,

Aaron Dorr
Executive Director
