After 12 years of fighting for gun owners in four state legislatures, I know that the radical left will say and do anything as they try to disarm law abiding Americans.
I remember watching House Democrats walk out of the Iowa Capitol in 2012, when we were advancing Stand-Your-Ground law, throwing a fit that made national news that night.
When that didn’t work, Rep. Ako Abdul-Samad’s clerk faked an anthrax attack — sending Samad an envelope of white powder in the mail, which he then opened on the House floor during debate on this bill.
He’s now in prison.
But it’s clear that in their pursuit of radical gun control, today’s leftists will do anything.
So it shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone to learn that leftist politicians in Washington — and the extreme groups that support them — are trying to use the Coronavirus to pass gun control!

As you may remember, over 100 members of Congress — Republicans and Democrats alike — recently sent a letter to Senator Mitch McConnell, demanding that he include ‘Red Flag Gun Seizures’ in the last round of stimulus spending.
While that effort failed, the next stimulus bill (CARE2 Act) is already being negotiated in the Senate.
And while we don’t know what gun control bill Nancy Pelosi and her colleagues will demand be included in it, insiders continue to tell us that H.R. 5717 remains at the top of Pelosi’s list!
Don’t forget, H.R. 5717 is the biggest gun control bill that we have ever seen in this country.
Sponsored by Senator Elizabeth Warren and Congressman Hank Johnson, this legislation would:
>>> Create a national permit to buy a gun
>>> Establish a nationwide gun registry
>>> Institute a national ‘Red Flag Gun Seizures’ law
>>> Ban virtually every semi-automatic rifle in the country
>>> Make it a felony to buy a ‘high capacity’ magazine
>>> Tax guns at 30% and ammo at 50%
>>> Put you in jail for buying more than 1 gun a month
>>> Force you to lock up your firearms at all times
>>> Criminalize the sale of firearms to Americans under 21
>>> Ban the sale of suppressors
>>> Make it a crime to build a firearm in your own home
We must stop this!
Not a single piece of this legislation can be allowed to be added to CARE2!
Please make sure that Senators Grassley and Ernst know that gun owners are 100% opposed to the left’s agenda of using Coronavirus stimulus money to advance gun control!
